RV clubs and organizations of nearly any size are particularly welcome at the resort - we have private meeting rooms with their own entrances, banquet space complete with a professional-quality kitchen, access to all the amenities, and a full-time entertainment director to help plan activities. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual rates are available.

Whether you're reading in the quiet library, checking your e-mail in the computer access alcove, or dancing to sophisticated sounds in the spacious ballroom on a custom-built floating floor, it's a wonderful way of life. Display your skill in the club-like billiard room on one of 7 billiard tables including a snooker table. Cards and games, from bridge to dominoes, also are all on the agenda. If exercising is your passion, we've designed a state-of-the-art fitness center, with top-brand exercise equipment, televisions, and locker rooms with private showers. Nearby is a spacious, ultra-modern laundry facility. We've also built the finest indoor Championship Shuffleboard Pavilion imaginable - eight courts, theater seating for 350 and a private kitchen. Outdoors, there is swimming in three pristine pools, relaxing in three temperature-controlled spas, plus sand volleyball, croquet, horseshoe courts, and a manicured 9-hole putting green. Hemet is the intriguing centerpiece of the golden San Jacinto Valley, the larger playground just outside the Golden Village Palms RV Resort's walls. Weather-wise, it's superb: The annual average temperature is 75 degrees, with 342 days of sunshine. On one side of the mountain is the famous desert of Palm Springs; to the west, the blue Pacific. GOLF

Most golfers enjoy playing with others and having some competition. The Snowbird Golfers of Golden Village provide just that! Each Monday, from November through March, there is organized golf for both ladies and men. The ladies play at the North Course in Sun City and the men play at Diamond Valley, south of Hemet. On Wednesdays, the men play alternately at Menifee Lakes and General Old golf courses. The ladies frequently have another day of play at one of the local area courses.

To participate, you need only sign up during the previous week in the Golf Room at the Shuffleboard Building. Be sure to supply your site number and your handicap (or usual 18 hole score). Golfers are placed into a foursome and a tee time is assigned. One of the group is designated the "captain" and that person arranges the ride and is responsible for the team scorecard. Participants should check back before playday for group assignments. Players share the cost of transportation, and there is a $1 "event fee". Golf balls are awarded utilizing various fun games.

All golfers are encouraged to sign up and play, regardless of the length of stay. Everyone is welcome.

Each month, Golden Village Palms has a MIXER for ladies and men. Watch for the sign up sheet and information about each event. Sometimes it's nine-holes and sometimes eighteen. Following the golf, everyone gathers at the clubhouse for a potluck dinner and awarding of prizes.

In February, the Golden Village Palms Open is held. It's open to all guests staying in the resort. A one-time handicap system is used, so all level of golfers are encouraged to participate. It's an 18-hole event, with an 8 AM shotgun at Diamond Valley. A BYOB Pitty Party is held from 5-6 and then a Banquet is from 6-8. There are prizes for events on every hole, plus oodles of great door prizes.

A large practice putting green is available just north of the pool area, with balls and putters available. Behind the Shuffleboard building, there are two driving nets for our guest's use. Balls are provided but you need to bring your own clubs.
From November through March, Golden Village Palms provides FREE GOLF SEMINARS for registered guests. They're conducted monthly on a Tuesday, either at our putting green or our driving nets.

If you would rather play golf on your own, refer to the map on the reverse side. Rates vary between $25 and $50. Be sure to ask for the senior rate when you call for a tee time.
