Take your kids on a short drive from Golden Village Palms for a fun learning experience of history and science. Discover Hemet's deep-seated roots in Native American history at the Western Science Center.
During the excavation of Hemet's Diamond Valley Lake in 1995, the site unexpectedly turned into an archaeology and paleontology dig, unearthing artifacts from early Native American settlers. There were bones and skeletons of extinct mammoths, mastodons, camel, sloth, and long-horned bison among the discoveries. The Western Science Center curates ancient archeological wonders from the region and more.

There are great golf courses minutes from the resort as well as others in Temecula Valley that many of our guests drive to for a fun morning or afternoon of 9 and 18-hole games. Whether you're a newbie and experienced golfer, there are many nearby golfing options to take a swing at during your stay.
Hemet's 9-hole miniature golf course is a well-kept secret amongst beginners and seasoned golf lovers. Teach your strokes to the young ones and try to hit one yourself. The Echo Hills Golf Course can be surprisingly challenging.
It is an easy trip to and back from the course just five miles from the Golden Village Palms. Enjoy your daily games and improve your swings simultaneously at this well-maintained course. Don't be fooled by the size. The link style provides enough challenges for budding golfers like water crossings, sand hazards, and more.
